Capit is a root word meaning "head." We provide investment banking services to The CFO Office or Finance Department of firms. We are an investment banking firm who specializes in capital sourcing, mergers & acquisitions advisory, private investments, special studies, and financial enablement services (FP&A technology). We also deliver specialized education and investments to a host of corporations such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, commercial real estate, and information technology. Our partners have advised on over $10 billion of "hard assets" transaction value.

E. St. Mark Latty, PhD
Silver Capit Advisors is headed by E. St. Mark Latty, PhD (or "Ed"), its senior advisor. Ed serves as a lecturer and previously as a course director to biotechnology graduate students at The Johns Hopkins University. Previous to JHU, Ed was the adjunct professor for venture capital & private equity at HUSB. Ed initiated arrangement for the funding of a multibillion infrastructure and commercial real estate development, and sourced and transacts on several billions of commercial real estate. He previously managed a multibillion portfolio in commercial debt. Ed previously headed the investment banking subsidiary of an insurance group, and after this as interim CEO of a commercial bank. He spearheaded negotiations for the acquisition of a midsize global beverage company, led team on sourcing capital, and structuring arrangement; acquired an airports logistics firm with several Fortune 1000 customers; invested in a recombinant DNA biotechnology firm; and ran a private fund. Prior to previous, Ed served as the marketing manager for a German-originated energy-efficient renewables and beverage firm. He also led modeling for launch and in-orbit operation of satellites, and securitization transactions.
Ed has a PhD in Data Science, an MBA in Finance, an MS in Biotechnology, among other qualifications, and he was a former medical student. He attended graduate schools at New York University, Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, and Carnegie Mellon University, among others. Ed previously served on a municipal transportation committee, and serves on the Finance committee of a religious organization.
